Proud Mom

Gwen Plush's daughter, Angela Lloyd, wins 2011 Westminster Dog Show!

"...Angela Lloyd, her handler, together with the three co-owners, one of whom is a veterinarian, obviously handled the situation with finesse and a regiment for exercise that resulted in a strong hardy specimen of its breed. Angie’s background in dogs of course is a unique one for today’s society in that she was trained the old fashioned way under several different handlers. In 1998 she won Juniors at both Crufts and Westminster-the only person to accomplish this deed in the same year! A graduate of Penn State, Angie began her life in dogs at any early age as her father was a breeder of German Shepherd dogs. Her work with the late Bobby Fowler honed in her experience with Dachshunds and just three years ago her mini wire Dachsie was awarded the group at the Invitational under no less an authority than the late Dee Hutchinson. She broadened her learning caring for Andrew Doyle’s all-breed Sporting dogs and today at 31 is one of the most promising handlers on the circuit-- and one may add as talented as she is so is she lovely to look at and nice to be with. She was trained in the old school tradition of being laid back and to work hard in all aspects of dog life and is considered as professional a person who is handling today. Which fact is only rejustified by Mr. Dondino’s selection!"
